How Lawn Ledger handles lawn records, account information, and the features you choose to use.
About Lawn Ledger
Exagium LLC makes Lawn Ledger. This notice covers the Android app and the services supporting it. The Exagium company website has a separate privacy policy.
Lawn Ledger keeps lawn records on your phone. You can use it without an account. Signing in enables account services and copies supported records to hosted storage. Optional features may not be available in every release.
Records on your phone
The app stores lawn areas, location, grass and soil settings, watering and mowing records, product applications, saved mixes, inventory, weather, calculated results, and preferences. If you sign in, it also stores account and session information.
Android backup may copy the app’s database and preferences to your Google-managed backup. Sign-in credentials are excluded from that backup. Uninstalling the app removes its local data but does not delete a hosted account, exported files, or Android backups.
Location, weather, and soil
You can permit device location access or enter a location manually. Lawn coordinates are used to obtain weather and soil information and calculate local guidance. They can identify your home; rounding coordinates does not make them anonymous.
Coordinates are sent to our service hosted on Fly.io and to the weather or soil provider needed for the request. The service uses rounded grid cells for caches and logs. If you sign in, your saved lawn location is also included in account records.
The product record lists Open-Meteo, the U.S. National Weather Service, Iowa Environmental Mesonet, NOAA’s Aviation Weather Center, USDA Soil Data Access, and ISRIC SoilGrids. Weather and soil requests send location and request details rather than your name or email address.
Accounts and synced records
Google Sign-In supplies identity information, including your name, email address, and an identity token. Supabase hosts the account service and synced records. We use account information to sign you in, associate records with you, and operate account features.
Supported synced records include lawn areas and settings, applications, watering events, product records, saved mixes, inventory, notification preferences, and recorded weather observations. Mowing events, forecasts, calculated results, and the in-app alert feed are not included in the documented sync coverage.
Signing out removes the session from the phone but leaves local lawn records. Authorized operators and providers may access hosted information when needed for support, service operation, or a security investigation.
Technical records and retention
The service receives network addresses, request details, and an account identifier when you are signed in. It uses these for authentication, request limits, troubleshooting, and caching. Logged account identifiers are hashed; they can still connect activity and are not anonymous.
Local records remain until you remove them or remove the app’s data, subject to Android backups. Hosted account records remain until deleted or otherwise removed. Weather and soil caches, request logs, abuse-prevention records, support emails, and provider backups have separate retention schedules. Contact us if you have questions about retained records or want to request deletion.
Optional photos and AI
Photo identification and landscape-design features are not currently available.
Before an enabled photo feature sends an image, its notice must identify the receiving provider and explain the information sent. The documented grass-identification flow sends a re-encoded photo, lawn coordinates, and interview answers through our service to Google Gemini. Re-encoding removes embedded camera metadata but does not remove visible information or coordinates supplied separately.
The documented design does not retain uploaded photos in Exagium’s storage, but it can cache returned results for up to 30 days. A provider may separately retain requests under its API terms. We will identify any additional provider and explain its data use before offering a feature that sends information to it.
Payments and notifications
If a subscription is offered through Google Play, Google handles billing and payment details. Exagium receives purchase information such as a purchase token, product, and status to verify access. We do not receive your payment-card number through that purchase flow.
Lawn reminders and notifications are generated on the phone from its data. You can control them in the app and Android settings. The documented app does not use a remote push-notification service.
Export and correct your records
The app can export supported lawn records as CSV and share summaries. An app or person you share an export with receives a separate copy that Exagium cannot recall. You can edit records in the app and contact us about information you cannot access or correct there.
Delete your account and data
In the app, open the account screen and choose account deletion. The documented process deletes the sign-in identity and synced records, then clears records on that phone after the server confirms success. Export anything you want to keep first.
If you cannot use the app, email mike@exagiumllc.com from the account’s email address with the subject “Lawn Ledger account deletion.” Tell us that you want your Lawn Ledger account and associated data deleted. Do not send your password. We may need to verify the request.
Account deletion does not cancel a Google Play subscription or remove Android backups, copies on other devices, or exports shared elsewhere. Cancel a subscription separately in Google Play. Technical records and backups may remain until their retention periods end, or longer when legally required. Contact us about records retained after account deletion.
Privacy requests and children
Contact us to request access, correction, a copy, or deletion of personal information. Additional rights, verification steps, complaint routes, and response deadlines depend on applicable law. We will explain any lawful reason a request cannot be completed.
Lawn Ledger is intended for people managing lawns and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us.
Security, changes, and contact
The documented app uses HTTPS for service requests, protected storage for session credentials, and account access controls for synced records. These measures do not make data anonymous or guarantee complete security.
We will update this notice when data practices change and provide any notice or consent process required by law. Write to Exagium LLC, 117 South Lexington Street, Harrisonville, MO 64701, United States, or send privacy questions and requests to the email below.
